Small world
Damn, how does the world seem so big one moment and then shrink the next? When you unexpectedly run into people you know from somewhere else, or somebody comes up to you and says they remember you from place x (and it's for real! not a pick-up line). It can be great to recognize a friendly face in the crowd. But, sometimes it's the last face you wanna see, ie a person you dislike. It's irritating when a person you've interacted with very briefly acts like you're really close. Out with fake smiles and forced pleasantries, whatever happened to saying a simple hello and moving on?

I feel you on this.Imagine the shock I had after meeting 2 old uni pals at thanksgiving in ATL, then meeting a dude who was ahead of me in high school at another Kenyan bash in ATL environs.
Seems the world is much smaller then we think!
@ Acolyte,
amazing! coz the chances of running into some people seem so low; I hear everybody goes to ATL that time of year. I haven't made it there yet.
The ultimate in small world story. I am talking with my cousin, and it turns out while he was in SA he met this woman from Barbados. Turns out she is a sister to this lady who I was in college with. What are the chances of cousins meeting sisters from a totally different part of the world in places far away from home for all involved?
@ Egm,
That's one helluva coincidence! Chances of that happening are probably 1 in a million.
@ GND
When you do decide to make it here for thanksgiving do holla!
@ Acolyte,
I'll definitely let you know!
The World is truly small! The older you grow the more you realize so; I keep on bumping in to people in the most unexpected of places! Time and again!
@ Omar,
It's comforting to know the world doesn't have to be a strange place if there's somebody you know around the corner.
