Directions
We all need directions at one point or another. It's great to have signs and symbols to guide us. But it seems like even the most obvious things come with directions. Like a drink that says "twist cap open and drink." But in this extremely litigious society, everything has to be disclosed and stated, even though it seems obvious. That's why the average person has to sign like 100 kinds of contracts and releases for everything. Not reading and understanding the fine print can totally mess you up as some of us learned the hard way. Or, if you don't ask certain questions,you just won't know. Information is a valuable commodity.

true, but it depends how you ask it no?
life is about direction, but the joy is getting away or succeeding after ignoring/breaking others. example, if i followed your direction, i wouldn't have read your post...LOL.
my motto, learn and understand the fine print/rules/directions then break those that can be broken.
I must say I used to ignore fine print...couldn't have been bothered then coz it was waaaaaaaaay too tiny...after I got screwed over by a gym (BALLYS the BUSTARDS)I don't skip a beat man!
@Marazzmatazz,
Oh yeah, you can get different info depending on the questions.
@Modoathii,
I'm glad you didn't follow my directions:) It's fun to get away by going your own way.
@Quintessence,
I got screwed by Kaplan over some online course. These days I also read everything!
There is lots to be found in fine print. Kwanza when the other party says, "its all pretty standard"
@Aegeus,
So true! Especially when the other side has everything to gain.
.....and this are the words they tell you to make you quickly forget to read the fine prints DATE HERE, INITIAL HERE, SIGN HERE so that there is no confusion and coming from the part of the world i come from where the only fine print on receipt was one line and said some like this EOE&E and goods once sold are not returnable or refundable
@Kenyaonly,
oh yeah, even receipts can have a paragraph printed on them.
I try to avoid contracts and situations that need waivers. But I feel you on the directions, the states has road signs everywhere! But when you think of the kind of ppl they have behind the wheel, it does make sense.
Oh yeah, people here sue over anything.
@Acolyte,
I've learned about contracts the hard way.
People sue over the dumbest things.
Yup..knowledge is power. ALWAYS read the fine print!! People are always amazed that I read the fine print and always ensure I have my own copy of everything!!!
Thanks for this article. I find it a pain to locate good quality guidance out there when it comes to this
topic. Thanks for the article!
